Mika Wanda, she spoke softly into the phone.

The signal died again and her conversation was cut short. She grumbled, but she knew that it wasn’t Pilan’s fault this time.

Your phone works, said Shona.

Mika shot a look at her guide again and groaned. It did.

She put her blouse on and stood up. When will we get there? she asked as she dried her glasses with the hem of her blouse. All it did was smear the water. OK, I’m ready. Let’s go.

I can’t gauge the time accurately, Shona said. I can’t answer accurately.

Just a guess then, please, Mika replied.

A while, said Shona.

Mika smirked, yet she began her journey again.
